Scottish

Our business and home are located in the small rural community of Campbell Town, Tasmania, which boasts a rich Scottish history.

Our property includes the historic St Andrew’s Church, originally established as a Presbyterian Church for the local Scottish settlers.

Pantukina was re-named Campbell Town by Scotsman Lachlan Macquarie, in tribute to his wife’s Scottish maiden name, Campbell.

The first minister here was Dr Adam Turnbull, a renowned Scottish immigrant and advocate for ceasing convict transportation.

As owners of Gourmet Gift Hampers Tasmania and with our residence and business being at “The Church,” plus both owners are of Scottish heritage, so we are steeped in Scottish traditions.

Therefore, providing Scottish hampers is a meaningful homage to the Scottish community in Australia.
